One of the most expected Ranveer Singh upcoming movies is the one he is starring with wife Deepika Padukone. The movie is actually a sports film drama. The storyline goes along the story of the Indian cricket team that won the 1983 World Cup in England and Wales. The team was led by Kapil Dev, who is played by Ranveer and is the main character and focus of the story. Deepika will be playing Kapil’s life.
The movie is said to not be so focused on Dev’s personal life, but rather on the compromise and hard work it took his team to reach, and win the World Cup. The film is being directed by Kabir Khan and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, Madhu Mantena and Vishnu Induri. One of the main bankrollers, Reliance Entertainment hosted an event to announce the film. Famous Aseem Mishra is in charge of the cinematography.
As mentioned before Kapil Dev will be played Ranveer Singh, the actor opened up about the demands of the role that weren’t only emotional. The cast had to learn how to play cricket, as shared by many of them on their Instagram accounts. The training was handled by former cricketers Balwinder Sandhu and Yashpal Sharma and was done inside of the Dharamshala Cricket Stadium.
Other actors in the cast are Tahir Raj Bhasin, Saqib Saleem, Ammy Virk, and Annu Kapoor. The film was initially intended to be release on April 2019, however, due to delays involving the filming (which started in May 2019), it wasn’t possible. Finally, due to more delays, it was pushed to April 2020, which is the official release date so far. This will be the fourth project in which Ranveer Singh will be working with current wife Deepika.

This is one of the most anticipated Ranveer Singh upcoming movies. A project of Simmba and Singham director Rohit Shetty has been expected for a while now. First actors to be confirmed and roped in where Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif. The director has been long working on a universe of badass police officers and has recently welcomed Akki to it.

This is the third cop action movie of the director so far, but he has made very clear that he doesn’t intend to stop here.

Katrina Kaif was the only one who hadn’t confirmed her enrollment, however, a few months later she shared a post with the caption “Super excited to join the team of Sooryavanshi with the incredible Rohit Shetty for the first time. Can’t wait to be back on set with Akshay Kumar after so long and the inimitable Karan Johar.”
Katrina will be playing the love interest of Akshay, who plays Veer Sooryavanshi, ATS chief. Most of the movie will be filmed in Mumbai, however, it is expected for the two main actors to fly to Bangkok to film the opening scene. The filming of the movie began in 2019, which is why it is expected for the film to be release in 24 March 2020, but later the film was indefinitely postponed due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19).
