Southee started his career by playing for New Zealand’s Under-19 team from 2006 to 2009. Southee was only 17 years old when he debuted in 2006 ICC World Cup against Bangladesh. By the time of second under-19 world cup, Tim had already played in 2 Twenty20 international matches.
